Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said that T-Mobile is getting money from their customers illegally and without their knowledge. In a lawsuit that was filed in Seattle, FTC accused T-Mobile of a practice that is called "cramming" or placing a misleading, deceptive and unauthorized charges.
The bogus charge may amount from $9.99 to as low as $2 a month for the SMS text message subscriptions services from third-party providers that includes horoscope, sports update, celebrity gossip, and dating tips.
FTC said that most of the customer has no knowledge of the charges because they were nearly impossible to notice because they were buried in lengthy bills. FTC wants the customers to be refunded.
